This function marks up labor pricing by a specified percentage.
The labor automatic markup function allows a price increase or decrease to be applied to all labor items within a product line code. Increases or decreases are specified as percentages. For instance, if the prices of a labor item are to be increased by 10% then 10% would be entered into the increase labor prices field. If the prices for a labor item are to be decreased by 10% then a negative 10% would be entered into the increase labor prices field.
Prices can also be rounded off to the nearest whole dollar. This increase or decrease will affect all pricing levels for all labor items for the specified product line code. It will not affect the list price or base cost.
Prior to running the labor automatic markup it is highly recommended that you perform a backup of the hpOrion data folder and its contents. The markup is an un-reversible procedure.
