Overview

From the Payment / Deposit Entry menu, you can apply payments or deposits to a customer account.

There are two types of deposits in hpOrion: deposits on order and deposits on account.

Deposits on order...

• are applied against a specific sales order

• are entered on the sales order screen

• can only be used for the specific order to which they were applied

Deposits on account...

• are applied to the customer's account as a whole

• can be used to pay any AR balance

• can be used as payment on any invoice
